Wilderness Survival Skills Weekend
Would
you like to learn the basics of wilderness survival skills, including
friction fire building, shelter making, wild foods harvesting, and more?
If you have ever wanted to experience the natural world with only the bare minimum of supplies and equipment, this is the wilderness experience for you. Throughout the class we will be taking a step back to live similar to our hunter-gatherer ancestors. We will be opportunistic in our learning by seizing what the landscape provides.
Expect to learn fundamental survival skills such as friction fire, finding/making shelter, harvesting wild foods, and traditional navigation techniques. This class will be physically and mentally challenging. It will also be an extremely rewarding experience to have should you ever experience a true survival situation. The class will take place in the gorgeous Ponderosa pine and Garry oak forests and prairies of Central Washington.
