Marketing Coordinator

Wilderness Awareness School is an internationally recognized non-profit leading the way in transformational and educational experiences designed to deepen connection with nature, community, and self. This down-to-earth, all-ages nature school is looking for a full-time Marketing Coordinator. Please Note: This is not a remote position and will require an estimated 2-3 days of in-person work each week.

A little about our department

The Marketing Department currently manages all social media, email marketing, advertising, public relations, outreach, and works with the Executive Director on all fundraising efforts. This department is responsible for filling over 2,000+ summer camp openings, 450+ school year openings, our flagship Immersion program, and various adult programs throughout the year.

The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for content curation, media acquisition, storytelling, outreach, community events, and assisting the Marketing Director with day-to-day marketing functions and brand strategy.

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

It’d be great if you have:

  • Proficiency in graphic design (Adobe CC)
  • Competency in video editing
  • Knowledge in areas of digital advertising
  • Experience writing and/or editing professionally
  • Experience working at outreach, community, or networking events

What the job looks like:

  • Content curation and preparation for social media
    • Photography
    • Videography
    • Copywriting
  • Community Outreach
    • Attending local booth events (requiring occasional weekend work)
    • Creating reciprocal relationships with other organizations
    • Attending Duvall Chamber meetings
    • Attending Nature Connection Network (NCN) virtual meetings
  • Engagement through social media accounts
  • Assisting the Marketing Director and Executive Director with fundraising campaigns
  • Assisting the Marketing Director with strategic planning
  • Establishing and organizing a media library system for all photos and videos
  • Content curation for blog posts, online challenges (in our Facebook group), and eCourses

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $50,000-$52,500 to start, DOE
  • 5 weeks paid time off
  • Monthly stipend to purchase health insurance
