Description
Journey into a world almost unknown today with Ingwe (1914-2005), co-founder of Wilderness Awareness School.
Wilderness Awareness School founder Jon Young writes, “This book is more than poetry. It is a challenge, a test, almost a Rite of Passage into a world unknown today. The words and pages are invitation to remember and to uncover something sacred and treasured in our deepest memories. Perhaps childhood, so many mysteries left unanswered, will come back through the journey of experiencing life through this author’s eyes. Prepare yourself as if entering a sacred journey, and listen carefully to the stirring of your own soul. As a gift to the children who still remember the voices of creation, remember your own stirrings and give of these feelings to your own experiences. In effect, I invite you to dance with the poems of Ingwe.”

About the Author
Ingwe (1914-2005) – born M. Norman Powell of British ancestry – spent his childhood with the sons of warriors of an African tribe. From his boyhood friend, Endaka, Ingwe learned how to track, hunt – and most importantly – find spirituality in the wilderness. For sixty years Ingwe dedicated himself to revealing nature’s truth to people all over the world and inspiring the youth of this world to find hope and meaning to life in the wilderness. “The Wilderness holds all truth and knowledge.”
