Join us for an evening with Woniya Thibeault, the first female winner of Alone®, as she tells her survival story through the pages of her memoir, Never Alone, A Solo Arctic Survival Journey. This event is completely free, although registration is required.

In Woniya’s debut memoir about her experience on Season 6 of the HISTORY Channel’s hit survival show Alone, she shares a deeper story not seen by its viewers. She illustrates how the beauty kept her fed when hunting failed, how the magic she experienced outweighed the challenges, and months of living solo in the Arctic Wilderness brought more healing than suffering.

Woniya spent many years living off-grid in the Columbia Gorge, focused on integrating her life with the wild land around her. She is not your typical survivalist. In fact, she abhors the term “survivalist.” She sees ancestral and land-based living skills as a better way to live, not just “a way to do one’s best not to die.”

Woniya will be reading from her book, answering questions about the book and her time on Alone as well as herself and her life, and signing copies (available at the event!) at 7pm on Monday, July 17th at Wilderness Awareness School’s Linne Doran campus at 20410 320th Ave NE, Duvall, WA 98019.
