Aelin was first introduced to the world of Nature Connection when she was 11 years old through The Living Earth School in Virginia. She spent every summer outside in the woods, making fires, trailing animals, finding magic, and listening to her instructors tell stories about their time in the Immersion Program at WAS. She was fascinated with the program, and moved out west right after high school to attend. Aelin graduated The Immersion in 2021, the Youth Apprenticeship in 2022, and then spent 2023 and 2024 apprenticing for Immersion year 1 & 2.
Aelin is passionate about connecting children to nature, finding magic in small moments, creating empowering spaces, and searching for whimsy in every nook and cranny. She enjoys learning about medicinal plants, solving nature mysteries, and practicing stealth skills. Aelin is very excited to be instructing Village, Wild Within 1, and leading Roots and Wings this year.
