Conor Lough

Youth Program Instructor
Wild Within 1
Pronouns: He/Him

Conor grew up wading through streams, swimming in ponds, climbing trees and scrambling up steep hillsides, catching reptiles and amphibians, and inventing games with his siblings and friends in the Grande Ronde Valley of Oregon’s Blue Mountains.

Since moving to Western Washington as a teenager, Conor has fallen in love with the rainforests of the Pacific Northwest. Conor is a graduate of Huxley College of the Environment with degrees in Environmental Science and Environmental Education, and has worked with Wilderness Awareness School’s summer youth programs since 2015.

Conor enjoys finding himself in nature and making community connections by sharing his love of the outdoors. As a naturalist, he enjoys starting and tending fires, building shelters, stealth and movement challenges, and grounding himself in gratitude for all that the earth provides.
